Macintosh Island -
Macintosh Island Park, also known as 'Peacock Park' by some; is a great park in the middle of Main Beach. An oasis in the midst of high rises, this park is a sanctuary for many. The park has been established for many years, and most Gold Coasters can remember visiting during their childhood!
Macintosh Island Park is a very popular spot for a picnic or get together with family and friends. The large park offers many options for your party or gathering, with large trees providing excellent shade options. The cascading stream running through the park gives a tranquil atmosphere and is home to several birds including the majestic peacocks that have become a tourist attraction in their own right.
The kids playground is a great one with several slides and various climbing equipment as well as swings. The playground has sand underneath and a shade sail providing protection from the hot days.
