5 Top Tips for Post Covid Christmas

At Nutmeg and Pepper Catering we offer a great selection of Food options including our Christmas Menus but the topic on everyone's minds this Christmas is - Post Covid preparation.

Here are our 5 Top Tips

1. Choose to hold your Christmas Party or Gathering at an event space our home with plenty of out door space. Social distancing even with family is easier in an outdoor surrounding. Place a Marquise for cover from the elements and dress up your table and chairs with tinsel and other festive decorations.
2. Keep your menu simple this year - all though it is great to have a traditional Hot Turkey/Pork and Ham this year why not go for an all Cold Selection. This takes away the heat of cooking and time spent in the kitchen and gives you time back with your loved ones that you haven not been able to see much over the past 18months. Our top choices are Ham and Apricot Skewers, Marinated Chicken and Cherry Skewers served cold on a selection of Seasonal Salads.
3. For the kids - Organise non Screen time activities such as outdoor Skittles or Super Soaker Wars with self built targets made from plastic sheeting - you can even get the kids to build the course and create the targets. Have a score keeper to keep track of who super soaked the most targets. (Water Food Dye can be used in each water gun to see who hit which target - think paintball on a safer scale).
